> "Art is the most fascinating playful manifestation of the divine Creator within the earthly realm and links the limited-ephemeral human condition to the infinite-eternal divine." – Edi APOSTU
>
> On the grounds of this allegation, assuming that artistic inspiration is of divine nature, the artist Edi APOSTU (www.ediapostu.ro) introduced the concept of „holotropy" in art, concept based on the transpersonal psychology, initiated by Stanislav GROF.
> "Holotropic art", initiated by Edi APOSTU, is rooted in the idea that the artist is, to a grater or lesser degree, inspired by various means, by various energies of the Creation, and that, as a result of the consumption of various natural psychotrope substances or synthetic ones, the practice of religious, magic, shamanic techniques, such as incantations, prayers, meditations of various types, fasting, and voluntary dehydration, etc., or the combination of consumption of pshychoactive substances to the practice of different techniques, he is capable of creating.
>
>
> „The holotropic art is the art which is the result of transpersonal experiences and which can transpose the beholder into states of overconsciousness." – Edi APOSTU
>
>
> The "Holotropic Art" Association (www.holotropic.ro), founded by the artist to the purpose of scientific research of the holotropic phenomenon in art, aims to demonstrate, with the aid of experiment, the hypothesis launched by Edi APOSTU that, in the process of creation, a role, not negligible, is due to the sources external to the artist, and that these sources may influence the art creator in a conclusive manner. It is possible, for example, that the audition of a song trigger various emotional humors, that may determine him to achieve in some way the creation of a work of art.
> Edi APOSTU thinks that furthest, if not entirely, the artist is not capable to generate a work of art without an outer influence, that would lighten an inspirational spark in his mind.
>
>
> "Holotropic Art" Association (Iasy / Romania), in partnership with "Dans la lumiere des arts" Association (Nice, France) and 3D ARTE Association (Iassy / Romania), invites artists from different countries to make a holotropic experiment, finalized with an international visual art exhibition.
>
>
> In this section of the experiment, the realization of a visual art work is proposed, after or during the audition of musical excerpts. It is important that, at the end of the artistic workmanship, the participants convey their humors, emotions, sensations perceived during the holotropic experiment.
>
>
> The participants that wish to partake in this experiment are requested to e-mail, at the e-mail account holotropicart.expo@gmail.com or holotropicart.exp@gmail.com, personal data and photographs of their works, and details of their execution techniques, or the address of a website with the accomplished art works.
> The selected participants will receive, through e-mail, information necessary to the unfolding of the experiment, and the terms of participation, and by mail the CD with selected music for this session of the holotropic experiment.
>
>
> Following the exhibition that will take place in October in one of the referential art galleries in Jassy/Romania, the participants will receive an art album that includes all the works exhibited.
> A press conference will be held, and a website with the results of the holotropic experiment will be constructed.
